Dr Sillar's Recent visit to Danang Hospital Vietnam

 

DR Sillar along with some of the Specialist doctors and Nurses from the Tweed hospital
visited the Danang Hospital in Vietnam. The main aim of the visit was to provide educational

lectures and the demonstration of surgical techniques.

Dr David Sillar’s visit provided educational lectures from a urological perspective and the demonstration and use of laparoscopic techniques used in the treatment of renal disease which included

 

Laparoscopic Nephrectomy for malignant tumours, Laparoscopic Pyeloplasty for obstruction of the ureter Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy  minimally invasive treatment of renal calculi.

 

This was under the auspices of the Hoc Mai foundation - The Australian Vietnam Medical Foundation, which is associated with the University of New South Wales.
