Post-Op Instructions - Cystoscopy

After your procedure (Cystoscopy) it is common to have some discomfort and bleeding when voiding this usually lasts for 1-2 days.

Ural sachets from the chemist may minimise this if it is a problem.

 

If the pain worsens or you need to pass your urine more often then this may indicate a urinary tract infection and you should contact your local doctor or myself.

 

We need to be contacted if any of the following occurs or you are worried at all:

• Unable to pass urine
• Increased temperature or shivers/shakes
• Pain other than the burning when passing urine
